IWC’s Pilot’s Watch is a true classic that checks all the requirements for a fantastic Flieger (“pilot”). It’s no surprise that IWC makes it a point to keep the collection current and refreshed on a regular basis. The Schaffhausen-based company adds the smaller IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph that comes with 41mm diameter.

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 in an ergonomic 41-millimetre case is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69385 calibre. The chronograph is a classic column-wheel design and takes the energy it needs from a bidirectional pawl-winding system similar to the Pellaton mechanism and can be observed through the sapphire glass back.
Movements in this calibre family have a frequency of 4 hertz (28,800 beats per hour) and a power reserve of 46 hours.

The blue dial contains three subdials: one for the hour counter at “9 o’clock”, one for the minute counter at “12 o’clock” and one for the small seconds at “6 o’clock”. Just like how Pilot’s watch should be, the dial features big Arabic numerals with rhodium-plated hands for better readability in any light conditions.
This stainless steel case comes in 41mm of diameter and features a screw in the crown. The blue calfskin strap features an integrated EasX-CHANGE system that allows the strap to be changed in no time at all. Available options are calfskin or rubber straps in various colours, and a high-quality stainless steel bracelet with fine adjustment clasp.
