Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Huracán STO Carbon 45mm. Lamborghini, the supercar manufacturer from Italy, and Roger Dubuis, the hyper watch manufacturer from Geneva, teamed up and unleashed their creativity to release audacious timepieces born to race.
The result is watches with calibres built like engines. From this collaboration, several patents and World Premiere were registered by Roger Dubuis, offering to its own tribe models evoking the uncompromised machines made by the Italian brand of the bull.
The collaboration is also the genesis of tailor-made projects where the client sits with the manufacturer to create their own watch. The STO is a road-legal supercar based on the one-make Huracán Super Trofeo EVO race series run by Lamborghini Squadra Corse. It has a naturally aspirated V-10 engine that produces 640 horsepower and 417 ft-lbs of torque at 6,500 rpm.

Blue Laufey and California Orange are heavily featured in the STO’s racing-inspired livery and can be found on the watch’s dial, bezel, and strap. The watch has a 45mm skeletonized carbon casing with rubber inlays, a titanium bezel, and a sapphire crystal that is metallised. Meanwhile, the new strap is made of perforated calfskin leather with rubber inside the cushion.
An automatic RD630 calibre drives it with a honeycomb pattern created particularly for Roger Dubuis’ Lamborghini timepieces. The calibre is built with a twin-barrel power supply to reach a power reserve of 60 hours.
The calibre structure is designed like a supercar engine with strut bars forming a clear and visible visual signature; the rotor is designed like a supercar wheel rim.
The Excalibur Spider Huracán STO will be limited to just 88 examples, and if you want to be one of the persons who own this supercar timepiece, visit your nearest The Time Place boutique.
