The long wait for Rolex fans is now finally over. Maybe in the last few days you have seen the ‘underwater’ teaser about this new model, and maybe you guessed it already: the Submariner and Submariner Date collections now have some of the newest models that you can get.

This latest model from Rolex Submariner has several updates, including a larger case size (41mm), new bracelets that come with a tapered profile, Oysterlock safety clasp, and a Glidelock extension system that can be adjusted up to 20mm.

As for the movement, this latest Submariner comes with a Caliber 3230 with 70 hours of power reserve and a Caliber 3235 for the Submariner Date model. Both movements were just launched in 2020 to replace the Caliber 3135 that can be found on the previous model.

These latest models come in a wide variety of variations, starting from the classic steel colour with black dial and bezel, then there are also some models that catch our attention, the reference that comes with Rolesor with blue dial and bezel, the one with ‘Batman’ colour variations, and also the new ‘Kermit’ colour variation with a steel case, black dial and green bezel.

The second Rolex collection to return with a new model this year is the Sky-Dweller. This two-time zone annual calendar watch with a ‘Ring Command’ bezel debuted in 2012 and remains the most intricate watch in the Rolex repertoire to date.

After the latest model appears in 2017 in white and yellow Rolesor, the Sky-Dweller is back again this year with the sportier and luxurious look. It is clad in yellow or Everose gold with a black dial, and for the first time, it is equipped with an Oysterflex strap.

On the more stylish side, we’re seeing the new additions to the Oyster Perpetual and Datejust 31 collections.

The Oyster Perpetual line introduces two main offerings: the Oyster Perpetual 41 in 41mm steel with a black or silver dial and the Oyster Perpetual 36 steel model in a variety of dial colours from canary yellow to candy pink. All these Oyster Perpetual watches are equipped with the latest Caliber 3230 movement.

The Datejust 31 model, on the other hand, is full of luxury stuff. Clad in white Rolesor, there are four dial variants. The newest model comes with a calmer colour palette compared to the new Oyster Perpetuals. One of them comes with a purple and diamond set on the 6 o’clock index, which looks absolutely luxurious.

In some of the latest models from Rolex, we’ve probably mentioned the Caliber 3230 several times, which is the main engine of the Submariner and Oyster Perpetual models. Launched earlier this year, this machine is believed comes with good quality and more efficient energy.

This automatic movement comes with a Chronergy escapement made of nickel-phosphorus so it is resistant to magnetic fields and a skeleton escape wheel that can give your watch more energy. In addition, this movement also has a Parachrom hairspring that’s 10 times more shock resistant than traditional hairsprings and also has a power reserve of up to 70 hours.
