The new Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar has the traditional stainless steel case design of a pillow with a smooth round bezel. It measures 42mm in circumference, 8.65mm in height, and is 30m water-resistant.
Emerald green is featured in the dial, horizontally striped and has perpetual calendar sub-counters for the date at 3 o’clock, the day of the week at 9 o’clock, meanwhile the current month at 12 o’clock. The sub-dial month also has a tiny leap year indicator built in.
The lunar phase opening is situated at the hour mark of six. The flat band with a “perpetual calendar” name, the “Piaget” text emblem, and the moon phase were chosen by Piaget’s watchmakers as a way to balance the design.
Behind the dial, there’s caliber 1255P, and in-house movement that only 8.68mm thin. This movement will give the timepiece a power reserve of about 42 hours. It has a 21,600-vibrations-per-hour heartbeat and is mechanically set to display the right day, date, and month as well as the leap year up until 2100.
