Panerai unveiled the Panerai Submersible Bronzo Blu Abisso PAM01074, a bronze 42mm people-pleaser with a 1,000-piece yearly manufacturing limit. If you like the Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Bronzo PAM00671 but find that 47mm is too big for you, this watch might be the answer.
Bronze has been a key element in the Panerai collection since its formal debut in 2011, and for the first time, it is the focus of a 42mm Panerai model: the Submersible Bronzo Blu Abisso (PAM01074).
The model is offered in a restricted production of just 1,000 pieces each year and is intended for exclusive sale at Panerai boutiques. The matte blue of the dial complements the warm tone of the metal wonderfully. A bronze manufactured entirely of pure raw materials, free of pollution or prohibited substances such as lead (less than 90 parts per million).
Bronze gives the Submersible Bronzo Blu Abisso a powerful personality and a unique charm, which are accentuated by codes that have always been a part of the renowned Submersible collection’s heritage. The studs on the graduated bezel, as well as the battery of conspicuous dots and indices protruding from the dial, are all filled with beige Super-LumiNovaTM and therefore perfectly compatible with the model’s visual language.

The model has a graded unidirectional rotating bezel, a bridge mechanism with a crown protecting lever, and a thick sapphire crystal on the caseback, all of which are designed to withstand the significant forces encountered during underwater dives. All of these features are necessary for an instrument built to resist extreme pressures.
The P.900 calibre powers the Submersible Bronzo Blu Abisso. The date function and a three-day power reserve are both included in the next-generation automatic movement, which is the first of its size and thickness. The Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel designed and developed the calibre completely.
The Panerai Submersible Bronzo Blu Abisso has a blue Vintage Suede leather strap with ecru stitching and a bronze trapezoidal pin buckle that is water resistant to 30 bar (approximately 300 meters). A blue second rubber strap is supplied, as well as a screwdriver for replacing and removing the buckle and a recyclable plastic box.
