Salmon is unique, warm, and luxurious, and these dials are relatively rare. It is now time for the most traditional of all IWC Portugieser models to acquire such a dial with the introduction of the new Portugieser Automatic 40 Salmon.
Sometimes, little updates may produce stunning timepieces. But seeing a salmon-toned dial on the attractive, fairly proportioned Portugieser is a real delight.

This model is already available in a variety of hues, including a red dial to commemorate the Year of the Rabbit and a silver dial with blued or golden accents. IWC has now made the decision to give its Portugieser Automatic 40 the timeless appearance we appreciate on a pinkish watch.
In order to achieve the needed cool contrast, a steel case, rhodium-plated hands and markers, and a salmon-coloured dial with a sunray-brushed base are required. This watch looked quite classy with its black alligator strap, which also complimented the dial very well.
This watch features a 40.4mm case with a brushed and polished steel finish and limited water resistance of 30m. Meanwhile, the salmon dial is decorated with applied markers, a railroad minute track, and leaf-shaped hands. There’s plenty of space for the salmon colour since there is no date or any other unnecessary indicator on the dial.
Inside the case, there’s a calibre 82200, an in-house movement by IWC, to power this watch. This reliable movement features a Pellaton automatic winding system, 60 hours of power reserve, and ceramic parts that make this movement durable for a long time.
This watch is sporty in size, but dressy and elegant in aesthetic. Something that is really adored by a classic watch enthusiast. A radiant sunburst salmon dial is just something that we couldn’t resist.
