At Watches & Wonders Geneva 2024, Chopard introduces its new model for the ladies’ collection, L’Heure du Diamant. With L’Heure du Diamant, Chopard masterfully captures the beauty of diamonds. Acknowledged masters in the realm of jewellery watches, the artisans of the Manufacture have orchestrated a meeting between contemporary design and the queen of precious stones.
The subtle balance between the art of jewellery-making and watchmaking expertise enables L’Heure du Diamant to combine intelligence and beauty, thereby offering the perfect expression of today’s femininity. The new timepiece joining the collection is a fresh demonstration of this reality.
The exceptional brilliance of the diamond is accentuated by the crown setting, a signature gem setting technique that allows light to pass through, enhancing the beauty of each stone. The ribbon of brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing over two carats, encircling the case illuminates a delicate dial in textured mother-of-pearl or malachite, adorned with 12 brilliant-cut diamonds.
Crafted in ethical 18-carat white or rose gold, this L’Heure du Diamant timepiece is paired with a bark-style bracelet, whose ergonomics, texture and silky feel are the result of unique expertise. In a resolutely plant-like manner, its extremely fine veins create a vibrant appearance, as this finely woven motif endows the gold with unrivalled suppleness and lightness.
This gold-working technique, perfected by the Scheufele family in the 1960s, is entirely handcrafted. An alternative satin strap is also available, likewise comfortably moulding the wrist’s shape.
Powering the watch is the mechanical manual-winding Chopard 10.01-C movement, a testament to our technical brilliance. This movement, measuring a mere 15.70 mm in diameter and a slim 2.90 mm thick, boasts a 45-hour power reserve, making it one of the slimmest and most delicate in-house movements to date, perfectly suited for our dainty jewellery watches.
