The use of ceramic titanium reflects the workshops’ avant-garde spirit, this light and ultra-resistant metal is obtained through an electro-plasma oxidation of titanium, a treatment that gives it a hardness of 1000 Vickers and perfect resistance to impact and corrosion, making it the ideal material to complement the Alpine Eagle Indonesia Edition’s sporty, light, and ultra-modern design.
This watch, which belongs to a special collection of timepieces with an integrated case and bracelet, has a sleek and modern design with several references to the Alpine eagle and its biotope. The dial’s texture is reminiscent of an eagle’s iris, and the salmon-pink color is reminiscent of the rosy-orange glow of sunrays glinting off snow-capped peaks at dawn and sunset.
A single ingot-shaped link is adorned by a raised center cap on the Alpine Eagle Indonesia Edition bracelet, which is softly tapered. The case is marked by bumpers that cover the crown, which is carved with a compass rose, a tool that has guided travellers since Antiquity. It became the symbol of modern eagles capable of selecting the proper path in their quest for their destiny.
The circular bezel of the Alpine Eagle is punctured by eight screws, which are placed in pairs at the four cardinal points. Their slots run perpendicular to the bezel’s circular, indicating high-quality finishing and a sophisticated aesthetic purpose.
These screws also have a technological purpose by ensuring the watch’s 100-meter water resistance. Satin-brushed finishes are used on all Alpine Eagle flat surfaces, which are painstakingly created to generate light effects that are further accentuated by polished chamfers. To improve nocturnal legibility, the hours and minutes hands, as well as the hour-markers, are coated with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1.
The watch is powered by the Chopard 01.01-C movement with a 60-hour power reserve, which is visible through a transparent sapphire crystal back specially adorned with a depiction of the Indonesian archipelago to recall the special destination of this limited series. This movement is chronometer-certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Control, a rare achievement for watches in this category.
