The Royal Oak Offshore will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. Presented by Audemars Piguet in 1993 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Royal Oak in a bolder and sportier design, the Royal Oak Offshore, aka The Beast, made an indelible impression on the market until today.
To celebrate, Audemars Piguet released the Royal Oak Offshore 43 mm watch ref. 26420CE.OO.A127CR.01. As it is a special release, of course they bring some interesting highlights to the watch.

Two-Tone Case
Still keeping with the 2021 design update, the 43mm black ceramic case features a pusher nestled within a matte yellow gold structure that also serves as a crown protector to ensure the case’s water resistance to a depth of 100 meters.
Each component of the black ceramic case requires an intricate manufacturing process, followed by delicate hand-finishing techniques to produce polished chamfers and satin-brushed surfaces. The bezel, screw-locking crown, and push-piece are slightly curved. While the bezel with its signature white gold screws is gently curved from 6 to 12 o’clock to match the profile of the sapphire crystal.
The Sophisticated Shade: Black and Gold
This model comes with a black Mega Tapisserie pattern on the dial, relocated chronograph subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock, a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock, a date window closer to the edge of the dial, and an AP monogram applied at the 12 o’clock position. All these parts come in a blend of black and gold that results in an elegant look.
The yellow gold hour indexes contrast with the black lacquer, adding a luxurious touch of color. The tachymeter scale, the numerals on the sub-dials, and the date come in white, without the Super-Luminova coating.
Integrated Chronograph
This watch is powered by Audemars Piguet’s latest automatic chronograph movement; caliber 4404, which features an integrated chronograph. The movement is equipped with a column wheel and a flyback function. Visible through the case back made of sapphire crystal, the movement is adorned with elegant finishes.
Interchangeable Strap
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph comes with a black alligator leather strap with gold stitching and an 18-karat yellow gold pin buckle. The studs that join the case to the strap are also made of yellow gold to add a sense of luxury. The strap is interchangeable, meaning it can be easily changed with an additional black rubber strap if you want to choose another look.
